“I love this “all encompassing beauty” of a scent, I feel literally blanketed in gorgeous energy- it’s very much like a peak experience in a perfume. So very well balanced the woods musk, florals, citrus and slightly green notes blend harmoniously, rocking you all night (or day) long. Using powerful aromatics this perfume stays and stays and you want it to.

“PK Perfumes Starry Starry Night – The scent of stars and kisses”
Two years ago, I received a vial of perfume, spray on, from my friend and perfumer extraordinaire PK Perfumes, Paul Kiler. I told everyone how awesome, how sensual, how decidedly decadent during the daytime and mysterious for the evening, it was.
SO MANY asked for the name, I had nothing to tell them. He had not come up with a name yet. So for 2 years I have yammered at him to get a name for this magical, mystical fragrance that turned me into a woman of mystery [the frankincense and smoked pine] while also enveloping me in a cloud of comfort [the orange blossoms and fresh cucumber]
Well, he has finally named it. Starry Starry Night.
He sent me a fresh bottle. I sprayed it *lightly* on my arm today at 2 p.m. It is now 11:45 p.m. I can still smell it on my arm. And I’m still transported to a velvet night full of stars and kisses.
The staying power of your perfumes is absolutely incredible. I have never had a perfume stay on for so long. Especially on this dry skin.
I normally wear either Romance by Ralph Lauren or Japanese Cherry Blossom. But since Paul sent me a whole bottle of the exquisite STARRY STARRY NIGHT, I’m gonna indulge.
Sure, I’m mostly staying home today. Does it matter??? NOOO. Because while I wear perfume/cologne to smell good to the public, I wear it mostly for me. And after 4 hours I can’t smell EITHER of the other ones, but I CAN smell Starry Starry Night. It makes me FEEL good. Seriously.
Sometimes it makes me cry when I put it on. Which means there are real ingredients in it as well as love. No one can work doing what they love, without love being infused in it.
Paul, you have outdone yourself.

“THE BRIDGE”
These Americans! One must admit that they are creating some wonderful scents.
Just like Mr. Kiler, you can find there people like Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, Shelley Waddington, Christi Meshell, Neil Morris and John Biebel, just to name a few.
Give them their due, they create their fragrances fearless and with exceptional access to their swishing ideas. To come up with an idea of creating a fragrance that captures the vibe of a masterpiece painting has to be congratulated in front.
As a painter myself, I was more than curious how will Mr. Kiler approach this heavy task.
Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” is soul touching painting ahead of its time, actually out of every imaginable comparison.
So, what to do, Mr. Kiler?
The value of a painting is dependent upon a lot of factors. Beginning from the idea and its realization, followed by the captured atmosphere and some technical criteria, like the use of colours or the generated lights in the painting, and so on…
Of course, Mr. Kiler used his skilful eye as a professional photographer in order to decrypt Van Gogh’s painting that is simply brimming and whirling with strength.
Paul’s whirling fragrance notes seem to be connected to Vincent’s whirling colours on his immortal painting. The thick brush strokes with the strange dominance of the colours yellow, blue and green are clearly perceptible in Paul’s fragrant work.
Stop! Don’t look on the list of used ingredients. It won’t help you any further. In my opinion, it makes no sense at all to try to create a fragrance in classic order with such a bold task. Thanks heavens, Paul Kiler was wise enough to take some risk and work with notes, which were allowed to swirl around, just like Van Gogh’s painting. What I personally like the most is how Mr. Kiler translates the colours of the painting in his fragrance. Paul’s scent is whirling with colours yellow, green and blue and, mostly important, with their blending. Extraordinary!
I don’t know if he was aware of the fact that, by doing so, he also captured the scent of the twilight. It’s that moment when the grass smells greener and the starry heaven bluer.
The awing image of the nocturnal scenery shows somewhat apocalyptic vision of a disturbingly peaceful village, highlighted by the pulsating light of the bright crescent moon. So, here we are working with the shining yellow. Exactly this colour is opening the scent.
Well done, Mr. Kiler! You did truly a splendid job by creating appropriately pulsating fragrance with great sense of depth.
There is a strong symbolism in the painting.
It’s the Cyprus tree.
The Cyprus tree, growing out of dark earth and rising high to the skies was often interpretively seen as Vincent’s bridge between our and the next world.
Paul Kiler blended the Cypress leaf with Cypress absolute to picture that enormously strong symbolism in his fragrance. Over all, it is the green note, which carries Mr. Kiler’s creation all the way. And that is how it should be, for he had to stay focused on the main part of the painting. And that’s not the starry heaven or the sleepy village, nor the shining moon; it’s the Cypress tree.
“Starry Starry Night” is the most outstanding artful or artistic fragrance you will find these days.
Oh, and yes, it is highly wearable for any time or occasion. When asked about the fragrance you wear, you can easily answer…
